In March 2002, the Polish Arbitration Association ("PAA") and Foundation "Partners" Polska ("Foundation") formed a mediation institution under he name: Business Mediation Centre ("Centre", "BMC"). The Centre has undertaken its activity as a division within PAA and its offices are located at the seat of Foundation in Warsaw at Klonowa St. 20/1.
The main object of BMC shall be promotion of the very idea of mediation and other non-adjudicative forms of resolving disputes, training of mediators, preparation and publication of articles on ADR's in the press and professional business and law magazines, as well as, facilitating of professional development of mediators associated with the Centre, taking care for the highest ethical standards of mediators admitted to the BMC Mediators List, and also assuring a high professional conduct of its employees.
